WHAT AM I, CHOPPED LIVER!?

In the last FOAMING AT THE MIND article http://foaming.homestead.com/index2450B2.html I noted how corrupt the "highly touted" "Predicare Part D" industry was. I also mentioned that HMO’s actually have brokers who make money every time they con people into their GREAT health"care" plans. Since then, my doctor, (who I picked because he accepted Medicaid, and because he was more holistic in his approach), dumped Medicaid and, (by offering no other options), dumped me!! Last year I had Cancer & Diabetes. Even if I could afford the $150/month HMO premiums, they wouldn’t even take me!!! The fact is that doctors have been dropping Medicaid patients by the droves, leaving the most vulnerable patients, (like me), out in the cold. They do it because Medicaid pays very little.
If you know of an educator, or an attorney who would be willing to be interviewed on the subject of discrimination, and/or oppression, please have them call Life Legacies Documentaries at 386 689-7803 and I’ll return the call ASAP. That’s only the first step. Stay tuned….

THE MUSIC WOULD PLAY!

Tiday was spent checking for continuity in the 2.5 hour Lindeman documentary dialog. I found 2 rough spots that I fixed.
Also archived & enhanced were several CD selections: "Take It Off" is a great group of mostly striptease instrumentals from the 50’s. Next I archived & enhanced some amazing original WC Handy recordings from circa 1916, recorded in New York City. Don McLean was next, with American Pie and more. After that was the Gus Arnheim orchestra from about 1933, in California. I then went from 1933, to the 1970’s, with Arthur Prysock’s Jazz Round Midnight album. There was no other voice like his! And speaking of "midnight", the next selection was a bunch of "Blue Ladies", recorded in the 20’s, singing not the blues, but about their intimate pleasures, in detail. And finally, I ended the group by archiving Earnest P. Stoneman records from about 1929.
The term "archived" means that I officially entered the selections into my Master Music Directory and digitally enhanced the audio, saving it to an MP3 file, at 128 kbps.

A NEW YEAR!

Upon rising, I realized that the only thing on the satellite tiday, (New Years day), was Spongebob Squarepants and God Porn. Ordinarily, as I "archive" & convert audio books from cassette to MP3, (which is piped into my big Altec sound system & heard throughout the house), it typically takes 8 hours per 400+ page book. I start recording when I wake up and dive in & out of the continuous text as I go throughout the day, bouncing between TV "news" propaganda and the ongoing book. Once the book is archived to MP3, I’m then able to fully absorb these books by playing them 6+ times on assigned days and starting them at various points in the text each day. Eventually, I’m able to give intermittent attention to every part of each book over the course of several days. Tiday, however, (since nobody was here and with nothing on the tube), I was able to fully aim my attention to Blink: The Power Of Thinking Without Thinking, by Malcolm Gladwell. It gives insight into the process of making accurate snap judgements. The book is well written, entertaining & accessible.
After the book, I woyked on the Lideman Documentary music pool…

The Tipping Point!!

Unlike yestiday, this was a more typical day for me. This, however, was my second reading of The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make A Big Difference, by Malcolm Gladwell. This book shows how trends and ideas catch on & ignite. I couldn’t help but to transfer these concepts to the rise of Obama and, (with luck), this new Progressive age.

The Age Of Reason!

Archived tiday was The Age Of Reason, by Thomas Paine. It’s amazing how writing was much more intellectually oriented in the late 1700’s. Many of tiday’s non-fiction authors are brilliant, but are not radically poetic in their style. The Age Of Reason, by Thomas Paine is not "light" reading, but brilliantly & deeply carries the case against religion. It takes "the bible" and rationally analyzes it, debunking much of "the bible" in the process. Paine was a Deist, but well on his way to figuring out true reality. If alive tiday, he would have a fucking heart attack and die.
